I believe that there’s no way to transfer your App data from the iPhone to the iPad. When I sync mine the Apps from the iPhone are transfered correctly but the data won’t be transfered (local docs or game scores, etc.).

It only works if the App stores the data on the internet. Example: I use an RSS Reader like Newsrack on my iPhone and iPad. On the iPad I just have to enter my login / Password and sync the app with google RSS reader and I’m ready to go.

For reading use, I think you should definitely go for the Kindle instead of iPad. iBookStore is too unmature at this moment. And there has been many users complaining that if you look into the screen of iPad for reading over an hour, your eyes will get very tired because of the backlight.

I market small business owners and have a video I show to them. As opposed to bringing in some hefty laptop or buying a mac air, I will load my video on the ipad and show it to the business owner that way. I haven’t looked into it too much. Now that I am thinking about it, does the damn thing have speakers??? People are also saying that it is a giant ipod. NOT TRUE!!! last time I checked you couldn’t get iwork with an ipod…which I use numbers and pages for most of my work… For those that do not know…you can drag a pdf into pages, edit what you need to edit, then go to file, print, save as pdf. Pages is a pdf editor as well!!!

iPad also has many books as independent app and they will blow your mind by stunning presentation.

It might not make that much of an impact now, but it’s effect will increase, as Apple adds on to it. The iPad is currently getting a lot of criticism, but Apple’s stock will still probably increase. After all, Stephen Colbert endorsed it at the Grammy’s, even before it was released.
